A thought....

So I am sitting at the computer surfing some of my favorite blogs and Emily is sitting fairly content on my lap looking at the computer and she keeps turning and looking at me and then turning back towards the computer....She is still doing it, turning and looking at me to make sure I am still here. There is just something so special about being a mother. Even with all the frustration of endless feeding and less sleep. There is something about it when Emily smiles at me that melts my heart everytime and makes me thank God that I am blessed to be her mother. It is an amazing feeling to be number one in someones life. I am number one in my husbands but it is different with a child, maybe because they are so dependent. I think Emily is just beautiful and I love her to pieces.

Just some cute shots of Emily!

Emily is growing so fast. She is a sweetheart with BIG smiles and loves to get eye contact so she can "talk" to you. I love her to pieces and doesn't she look like daddy!

COUSINS!!!!!
Halle being sweet to Emily

One fine day at the river with family and friends.......

Tacey getting absolutely filthy in the mud her dad made her.

My niece Halle

Emily was blessed on our 2 year anniversary, June 6th. Papa and Grandma Smith came up from Salmon Arm and my cousins and Great Grandma Boyes came from Prince George. Aunt Angela and cousin Kadence were also here. And of course all of my family from Vanderhoof, Great Grandma Johnson, Grandpa & Grandma Johnson, Uncle Chad, Aunt Shauna & Halle, Uncle Jared & Aunt Cherise and Aunt Jena. After church we had a big BBQ at Chad and Shauna's house. She looked like an angel in the dress Trevor's mom had brought for her. She is so beautiful!

Introducing my beautiful daughter, Emily Laurel Smith. She joined us May 26th, 2009 at 8:37 pm after 5 and 1/2 hours of labour. She weighed in at 7.5 lbs. Emily is a great baby who usually sleeps through the night. My only complaint is she seems to get fussy in the evenings and has a hard time settling down. I am hoping she grows out of it. But Trevor and I love and are so proud of our little girl. She is almost already 2 months. The time is flying by. She is now giving us bog smiles and cooing. It is so fun. I love being her mother.

So I am pregnant and last month I had an amazingly talented woman take some photos. I love the ones with Trevor. They look so good. I had over a hundred and these are the ones I narrowed down. I love them all, I can't decide which ones to print and frame. I am very excited to have the same woman do the newborn shots of our baby. 4 weeks until due date today! We are so excited and nervous! Baby is very active and loves to push its little hands, feet and anything bony out or up into my ribs.
