Christmas and HALLE!!! who was better then Christmas

This Christmas was Trevor and I's first Christmas together. And it was great. We went to my parents for Christmas Day and to Trevor's Parents for New Years. The best thing was that my niece was brought home from the hospital on Christmas. I love my Halle Marie Johnson. She is the sweetest thing.

Summer 2008

So after all the wedding and receptions and moving in to our little basement suite were all over. We relaxed....we went to the cabin, we went fishing and boating, and we learned how to wake surf! And we didn't take very many pictures.......

"Marriage is what brings us together today..."

On June 6, 2008 I married my high school sweetheart, my knight in shining armor, my dream within a dream. We were married in the Cardston, Alberta temple where both our parents have been married and all but 2 of our siblings.

15 Days Later......Engagement!!!!

So seeing as we picked up right where we left off. Our relationship progressed very fast. Which I have to say even surprised me. *Note, We had dated almost 1 year and 8 months before he left. When he got home we talked about how we felt the relationship was and what we expected. Trevor told me we might get engaged in about a month, which I thought was reasonable. However he couldn't resist me. One of his sisters had told him that it was very important to surprise me, so surprise being paramount he decided to be sneaky. While I was at a friend's bridal shower, he wrote me a message asking me to marry him on a roll of tube line in the field below our house. The next day he kept saying that we needed to check the cows. But I kept putting it off. Finally around noon after he had said it repeatedly. I figured something was going on. So I went down on the 4 wheeler to check it out. I didn't see anything so I went back. Trevor told me to go to the far end of the tube line which I did and read his message. Then I rode back to him and said yes!!! So usually the fun is had in announcing to your family that you are engaged. I didn't get to do that cause everyone already knew. Jared, my brother, had caught Trevor writing it and he can't keep a secret so soon everyone knew except for me. Trevor has sorta regretted not doing the super romantic proposal that he was planning but the bonus is that it was unique and well he would have surprised me if he hadn't been so obvious.

Trevor comes home!!!! April 10

Well I just have to say that I was a wreck that day. I drove down from Vanderhoof with Tyanna and I made her drive so I could read almost the whole way. (Reading is the only thing that can distract me very well) So we arrived at the Smith's house anxiously waiting (Trevor's family had gone to the airport) and Sherece called me to let me know that they were at the stake center and would be home in about 45 minutes. Agony. And they took their sweet time I have to say. So the only thing I could do to keep my sanity was to read. Boy, was I shaking bad. Finally Trevor pulls up with his parents and I flip. I really start shaking and yell "What do I do? What do I do? " Someone told me to go outside which I did, Trevor came roaring up the porch and grabbed me in the biggest hug Ever. He actually slightly chipped my tooth! That's how excited he was to see me and then he kissed me. Yup it took him a whole of about 10-15 seconds. Fast adjustment. And the best thing was even after not seeing one another for 2 years, 6 days it wasn't awkward at all and it was like we picked up the day that he left.
The night after he came home, we went to the Stake Spring Fling. and like I said, not really a very long adjustment period.
I love this picture of Emily and her son Colton.
And of course all the Smith's were home so obviously a perfect family activity to do with everyone and the kids would be. Target practice with guns and dirtbiking

Life when Life Began

I am going to start where Trevor came home from his mission, because that is where life as I now know it began and I wouldn't trade a day of it for anything.
